Private Music Lessons at Norbert
Students may sign up for weekly 30-minute private lessons in Piano, Voice, Trumpet, Music Tech (
and potentially drums).
Lessons will be taught by Mr. Kaizo Hall and Mr. Nathan Acupan
Lessons are billed monthly at $42 per 30-minute lesson. Space is limited.
Kaizo Hall is a versatile musician, educator, composer and producer whose expertise spans trumpet, drum-set, piano, and voice. A graduate of Chapman University with a Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance and a Minor in Music Technology, Kaizo merges a deep technical foundation with artistic creativity in both performance and teaching.As an instructor at The Music Stand in Laguna Niguel, Kaizo guides students in trumpet, drum-set, piano, voice, songwriting, and music technology, helping musicians of all levels develop their craft. Outside the classroom, he actively performs with local bands of various styles.Kaizo also works at a well respected recording studio, Jasmine Sound in San Clemente. Additionally, he serves as an accompanist, supporting dancers at Chapman University and providing music for worship services at St. Kilian Catholic Church in Mission Viejo.Driven by a love for music and a dedication to fostering growth in others, Kaizo continues to make an impact on the Southern California music scene through both creative projects and education.
Nathan Acupan is a versatile percussionist, educator, and composer whose expertise spans drum-set, timpani, and classical percussion. A Cum Laude graduate of Chapman University’s Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music with a Minor in Music Business, Nathan pairs a strong classical foundation with a keen interest in music technology. He holds amaster’s degree in Contemporary Performance in Drum Set at Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain. Nathan is the general music teacher at St. Norbert and has previously taught at School of Rock, and at other music schools around Orange County. As a performer, he has played everywhere from his local church to Carnegie Hall and has toured across England, Scotland, and Japan. He is a recipient of the Chapman Celebrates Talent Scholarship and the Chapman Percussion Ensemble Award (2020 and 2024). Driven by a love of music that began in third grade, Nathan blends his drumming and composing across jazz, rock, gospel, and pop.
